St. Maarten is an island of two personalities--Dutch and French. The island holds the distinction of being the smallest island in the world that is divided into two separate nations, St. Maarten (Dutch) and Sint Martin (French). Many cruise ships include St. Maarten or St. Martin as a port of call.
