A winter cruise to South and Central America is a great getaway from the cold weather up north.
Santiago, Chile - View from San Cristobal
In addition to the good weather, the Pacific coast of Latin America offers cruise travelers the opportunity to visit fascinating countries filled with natural beauty and historical significance.

Our cruise on the Silversea Cruises' Silver Spirit covered almost 4,000 miles from Santiago (Valparaiso) to Acapulco, stopping in Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. This 540-passenger cruise ship was on one leg of an extended cruise of the Americas, and I loved the size and variety of activities and dining experiences the ship offered. Of course, the exceptional service and accommodations that Silversea is known for were also seen on the Silver Spirit.

This Silver Spirit travel journal covers the experiences we enjoyed on the ship and in the ports of call.
