Barcelona is one of the Mediterranean's most popular embarkation ports. In addition, many cruise ships sailing the Mediterranean stopover in Barcelona for the day. 
One of the best ways to get an overview of a large city like Barcelona with just a day in port is to ride a hop-on, hop-off (HOHO) bus. I've been to this vibrant city many times, and these photos were taken over a series of rides on these buses.
