Grand Cayman Island is a very popular cruise ship port of call in the western Caribbean. 
Although Grand Cayman is flat and relatively unattractive, its lenient tax and banking laws have attracted millionaire residents from around the world. Its crystal clear water, sparkling beaches, excellent shopping, and numerous resorts attract tourists on land and cruise vacations.
The Cayman Islands were named the Caymanas for the crocodiles on the island, but people who visit this island group return home talking about the stingrays and the turtles, not the caymans!
