Here's a good trivia question - what is the southernmost point in Africa? Many people think that the Cape of Good Hope is the southern tip of Africa and the dividing line between the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. However, that distinction actually goes to Cape Aghulas, which is about 100 miles east.
Cape of Good Hope is the southwestern tip of Africa, and is located at Cape Point, which is part of Table Mountain National Park of South Africa. In 2004, Cape Point became part of the 553,000-hectare Cape Floral UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A full-day driving tour of the peninsula allows time to see seal island of Hout Bay, the penguins at Boulders Beach, the Cape of Good Hope, and Kirstenbosch Gardens.

This is a spectacular area. Even if you’re 100 away from the ‘real’ place. The waves hitting the shore beats even northern California in ferocity. And the wind is powerful. Not sure I’d want to be on a ship around there! But I’d try.
Really really amazing area.. on your way to the light house you will see outstanding view.. do it by foot, It’s not that hard..
