Having a fluffy white terry cloth creature greet you each evening when you return to your cabin is one of the things many cruise ship guests expect and enjoy.
Carnival - Towel Creations
Carnival Cruises debuted the first towel animal over 20 years ago, and this iconic element is now a fun part of many cruise ships across the industry. Carnival staff alone fold over 10 million animals each year for its 30,000+ staterooms in the fleet!

I've often dissected the animals to see how they were put together, hoping I could remember how to reassemble them when I got home. Now, with the latest edition of Towel Creations from Carnival Cruise Lines, anyone can learn to make their own zoo of 40 of these cute little towel origami creatures. The book includes easy directions on folding everything from bats, bunnies, and bulldogs to scorpions, seahorses, and swans. All you need are three previously washed towels (large, medium, and washcloth) and paper to make the eyes, nose, whiskers, etc. A pair of sunglasses also comes in handy to make the animals look "cool".

Carnival fans who purchase the new book will not only learn how to make 40 towel creatures, they will be contributing to one of Carnival's charitable partners, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Carnival had pledged to raise $3 million for St. Jude over a three-year period, and $1 of the $14.95 cost of the book will be donated to the charity.

The 4th edition of Towel Creations can be purchased onboard the Carnival ships in the gift shops, or from the stateroom stewards. It can also be ordered via the Gifts & Services section of Carnival.com and delivered to a guest's stateroom.
