As a former accountant, I love tracking almost everything, and travel certainly lends itself to counting, whether it be continents, countries, cities, World Heritage Sites, frequent flier miles, or any of a dozen other metrics.
50 Essential Experiences
Therefore, I was delighted to see that Princess had compiled its popular blog, 50EssentialExperiences, into a 338-page coffee table book, 50 Essential Experiences -- The Travel Bucket List.

The blogs were written by 50 of Princess Cruises' own destination experts from throughout the company. Marvelous photos make the destinations come alive. I also enjoyed reading the short biographies and travel insights of the 50 experts.

50 Essential Experiences is a fun read, and since each of the destinations only covers 2-5 pages, it can be read in small pieces. I had already read the weekly blogs as they were posted in 2010-2011, but it was fun to look back over them in the book. Lucky me--I've been to 36 of the 50, but plan to continue to work on my own bucket list as long as I'm alive. My own list is WAY longer than 50 items, but that's okay. I've always been an over achiever.
