The Carnival Fantasy is Carnival Cruise Lines' oldest ship, but like many people, she carries her age well. The Carnival Fantasy sails 5 to 7-day cruises year-round from her homeport in Charleston, South Carolina, which is a terrific city to visit for a few days before or after your cruise. Fares on these cruises are often a great bargain for families, friends, or couples looking for an easy getaway, especially those who live within driving distance of Charleston.
I sailed on a five-day voyage on the Carnival Fantasy, stopping at Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas. It was a fun cruise to a beautiful part of the world, and so easy to get to for those of us who live in the Southeast USA when you just have to drive to Charleston.

Sounds like you had a great time? What was the ship like?
The Carnival Fantasy doesn’t have all the “bells and whistles” that the newer ships do, but it still provides a fun cruise experience at a great value. Here’s my review of the ship.

I had read the bad reviews… So I was very very pleased when we walked on the ship… It was Very clean, had been completely redone… The food was good, the staff great, there was not a lot of shows, but the ones we saw were very good . I would surelly go again on this ship… It was great to leave form Charleston, S.C.
