Uniworld River Tosca Takes Inaugural Nile River Cruise in September 2009

Uniworld will launch the River Tosca along Egypt's historic Nile River in September, and the cruise line is offering good discounts on 2009 and 2010 Nile River cruises for those who book by July 31. The River Tosca will join the River Beatrice, which took her maiden voyage along the Danube in March this year, as Uniworld's second new ship of 2009.

River Tosca, an all-suite ship, has been decorated by the design team from the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, Uniworld's sister company. The River Tosca's interior will be decorated with the same touches created for the Red Carnation Hotels and all of Uniworld's nine river ships.

Each of the 41 suites onboard the River Tosca are over 300 square feet and are decorated with original Egyptian art work on walls of white wood paneling and warm cream cotton fabric. All of the suites have marble floors in the bathrooms and guests will receive the same fine amenities as can be found on the European company-owned ships. The ship also features two Presidential suites that are over 650 sq. ft. with large, adjoining private terraces.

Guests aboard the River Tosca will find a host of onboard activities. A swimming pool lined with cabanas and a Jacuzzi® can be found on the sun deck. Additional diversions include a gym, library, and boutique for gifts. When night falls, guests will enjoy panoramic views and entertainment in the ship's rooftop bar.
