The full transformation is available for viewing at www.princess.com/goldendrydock, and features such rare scenes as the hull of the ship and propellers out of the water with the new silicone underwater paint being applied, to hundreds of pieces of furniture being re-upholstered, to key public areas being demolished and re-configured into new spaces.

me and my husband were on the golden princess for the alaska cruise in june although – we were amazed that this ship was renovated – balcony suites were not updated and laundry facilities were closed and under maintenance for the entire cruise on deck 12 – windows were filty in buffet area ,and when we boarded the ship the buffet was the smallest ever only half side was open – but overall the crew was very accomidating our cabin steward was wonderful. upset looking for a laundry facilites up and down our floor as others were looking – the tension was high . on our floor there was a foul smell when gallery door was open. the ship was willing to change our cabin in the third day of the trip although we didn’t want to pack and unpack .and they did keep that door closed full cruise . due to the crew and members customer service- we will go on this ship again.
