Magnificent Moorea - Island in the South Pacific

Tuesday January 22, 2008
Sailing into the bay of Moorea is one of the most magnificent sights you will ever have.
Moorea in the South Pacific
We slipped through the narrow reef pass and into Moorea's Opunohu Bay at 7:00 am as the ship's captain had promised. It was another beautiful day in paradise.

Next to Tahiti and Bora Bora, Moorea is probably the most famous Society Island in French Polynesia. The island is full of natural beauty, with both educational and fun shore excursions for visitors. We went on a dolphin watching expedition, and were delighted by the amazing spinner dolphins. We also went on a snorkeling picnic to a nearby motu. All in all, Moorea is a great cruise vacation destination.
