American Safari Cruises Announces 2009 Schedule and Itineraries
One new itinerary for American Safari Cruises is the Hawaiian Islands. The new 145-foot, 36-passenger Safari Explorer will have her first season in Hawaii from late December 2008 to May 2009 (inaugural sailing is Dec. 19, 2008). The ship will return to Hawaii from Nov. 14-Dec. 26, 2009, and Jan. 2 and 9, 2010, with eight-day, seven-night inter-island cruises to the Big Island, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and the Molokini crater snorkel/dive site.

At the same time, the 120-foot, 22-guest Safari Quest will be in Mexico's Sea of Cortés Jan. 11-March 22 and Nov. 22-Dec. 27, 2009, and Jan. 3 and 10, 2010, with eight-day, seven-night sailings one way between La Paz and Loreto. Select 10-day, nine-night cruises to northern Sea of Cortés between Loreto and San Carlos (Guaymas) depart March 29, April 7 and Nov. 12, 2009.
As in previous years, all American Safari Cruises' yachts will be in Alaska mid-May through early September for either by-the-cabin or full-charter bookings on eight-day, seven-night itineraries. Rates and dates for 2009 Alaska cruises are posted now on the Web site, well in advance of the brochure release this coming July.
All yachts offer inclusive cruising and carry shore boats and kayaks. In warm waters the ships also offer sailing, snorkeling and water-skiing. Other destinations include Pacific Northwest and Columbia/Snake rivers in the fall, and Washington wine cruises in late fall and spring.
