Carnival Splendor to Operate Seven-Day Mexican Riviera Cruises Beginning in March 2009

Carnival Splendor will launch its seven-day service from Long Beach March 29, 2009. Ports of call include three popular seaside towns: Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. Pre- and post-cruise land stays, as well as numerous shore excursion opportunities – including snorkeling, canopy tours, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, golfing and off-road Jeep adventures – will also be offered in conjunction with these voyages.

Do you care about your health? If so, I would not recommend Carnival Splendor.
Although barely one year old, the smell of sewer pervades the ship from top to bottom. Throughout the trip to the Mexican Rivera my toilet frequently “burped.”
But that’s not the worst of it. The entire Spa wreaked with mildew – particularly the thermal area for which you will be charged $145 to use what amounts to a glorified hot tub. They more or less hide the mildew in the steam room by adding “essential oils.”
Molds enter the body through breathing in the spores or by being ingested. Since mold is a toxin, it can literally poison someone exposed to it for a long period of time. The poisoning can cause neurological problems, damage to the liver and kidneys and a wide range of other health problems. Breathing in the spores can also cause asthma, breathing problems and cold-like symptoms. Be warned.See http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4685313_mold-mildew-cause-illness.html
