See "Happy Feet" of Penguins Live on Antarctica Cruise

The hit penguin movie "Happy Feet" brings back memories of my own cruise to Antarctica on the Hapag-Lloyd Hanseatic. It is not surprising that another movie about penguins is a success. Penguins certainly score very high on the cuteness and cuddly scale!

While we were on the cruise, our expedition leaders told us of the time they caught a cruise ship passenger with a wiggling baby penguin in his backpack! Can you imagine trying to hide a penguin in a small cruise ship cabin? They cautioned us about touching or handling the adorable little things. When we saw them up close for the first time, I could understand why they had to warn us repeatedly. I'll have to admit that I did check surreptitiously check Ronnie's pack each time we rode the Zodiacs back to the ship. Here are 10 of my favorite Antarctica penguin photos.
