Ten New Cruise Ships in 2007

Cruise lovers will have ten new cruise ships in 2007 to consider for their next cruise vacation. The first new ship, the Norwegian Pearl, was launched in mid-December, and she will be followed by nine other exciting new ships that will sail the Caribbean, Europe, South America, and the world. The Norwegian Pearl, Carnival Freedom, Emerald Princess, Liberty of the Seas, Fram, Costa Serena, Norwegian Gem, and Queen Victoria are all new builds. The Royal Princess and Celebrity Journey were originally built as the R8 and R6 for Renaissance Cruises.

I was on the inaugural cruise of the Norwegian Pearl and will be sailing from Venice to Barcelona on the new Emerald Princess in May. It should be another great year for cruising!
