Peter Deilmann Cruises is offering free air and free shore excursions on its classical music cruise aboard the MS Deutschland on a Mediterranean sailing to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France from April 21 to May 5, 2007. The 13-night cruise will feature performances of orchestral works, vocalists and instrumental soloists. Deilmann is offering free air transportation for the music cruise from New York City and 16 other eastern U.S. cities and low air supplements from an additional 34 cities in the Midwest and West.

Classical Music Program Aboard MS Deutschland on 13-Night Sailing to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France
NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2006 - Peter Deilmann Cruises is offering free air and free shore excursions on its gala classical music cruise aboard the five-star MS Deutschland on a Mediterranean sailing to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France from April 21 to May 5, 2007. The 13-night cruise will feature performances of orchestral works, vocalists and instrumental soloists. Deilmann is offering free air transportation for the music cruise from New York City and 16 other eastern U.S. cities and low air supplements from an additional 34 cities in the Midwest and West.
The music cruise also offers free shore excursions, valued up to $600 per person, and free airport/ship transfers. The cruise embarks from Venice and sails to ports in Italy, Spain, Portugal and France. Destinations are Catania, Sicily; three calls in Spain – Ibiza, the Balearic island, Cadiz on the southern Atlantic coast near Portugal and La Corona, a seaport city on the northeast coast; Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, and Bordeaux, a classic French city and regional wine center with its graceful 19th century architecture reminiscent of Paris.
Distinguished classical musicians will perform during the 3rd International Classical Music Gala at Sea aboard the Deutschland, which will include special theme nights at no extra cost. Rolf Beck will lead the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and Choir and featured performers include piano soloist Ian Fountain, trumpeter Sergei Nakariakov violinist Arabella Steinbacher and soprano Simona Saturova and baritone Konrad Jarnot. Richard Cock, renowned conductor of the Johannisberg Festival Orchestra will also perform.
Outdoor and indoor swimming pools, three sun decks, open-air promenade deck, intimate theater for film screenings and lectures, fitness center, sauna, Turkish bath, shopping boutique, beauty salon and infirmary are among features of the ship.
