Limited space still available for Grand Circle's European Holiday river cruises
Unique 9-12 day vacations focus on artisans' markets and Old World traditions - from less than $175 a day, including international air
Select cabins and departures dates are still available for five popular European Holiday River cruises from Grand Circle Travel (GCT). Built around the traditional Christkindlmarkts or crafts fairs that occur during the Advent season, the trips combine sightseeing, traditional holiday festivities, and unique shopping opportunities in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Switzerland. Mark Frevert, Grand Circle's Executive Vice President and Chief Architect, confirmed that Grand Circle will accept reservations as late as 30 days prior to departure date, adding that "With the first remaining departures occurring as early as November 24, travelers can easily experience an Old World Advent season, and still be home in time for Christmas, if they choose."
Complete packages start at just $1245 for 9 days, including roundtrip airfare from Baltimore, Boston, New York or Philadelphia (other US cities available); deluxe accommodations in outside cabins with private baths; all meals; select sightseeing tours; special Discovery Series educational and cultural events; Captain's Welcome and Farewell cocktail receptions and dinners; and the exclusive services of up to four Grand Circle Program Directors.
Each holiday river cruise also includes sightseeing of classic attractions that have perennial appeal. Another draw is the leisurely cruise experience itself, which takes place aboard one of Grand Circle' s own private deluxe Rhine, Rhone, and Danube river ships. "You unpack once, settle into your outside cabin, relax, enjoy a range of onboard amenities and events, and wake up each day in a new destination", says Frevert.
