Update on Cruise Ship Accident - Crown Princess Back in Service

Saturday July 22, 2006
Crown Princess Returns to ServiceThe Crown Princess, which abruptly listed to starboard July 18, injuring dozens of passengers, returns to Brooklyn this morning from Florida. All of the passengers disembarked at Port Canaveral, so only the crew was onboard as she sailed on July 20 for New York.

The Crown Princess was cleared to sail by U.S. and British authorities, and will embark passengers this afternoon for an abbreviated cruise to Bermuda and Grand Turk. The Crown Princess will resume her regular summer schedule of 9-day Caribbean cruises on July 29.

(1) Code de Castilla says:

They should have had the weights fixed on board to have the possibility for up-rigthing agin the vessel after she healed to starboard. Gravity Center should be fixed.
