Cruise Passengers Killed in Bus Accident in Chile

A bus carrying cruise passengers back to the Celebrity Millennium crashed on a narrow mountain road in Chile, killing twelve. The Millennium passengers were returning to the ship, which had arrived in Arica earlier in the day, after visiting the Chungara Lake in the Lauca National Park near the border of Peru and Bolivia.

The passengers were on an independent excursion not affiliated with Celebrity Cruises, the company said in a statement to the press.
